Black Dragon Miniatures, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, has been supplying the needs of local gamers in the Midlands since first opening its doors in December 2014. Initially, owner Garry Sharp started out organising a gaming club, running weekly at a church hall. That escalated rapidly into the opening of the store we now operate, stocking a huge range of products from suppliers like Warlord, Games Workshop, Mantic, Perry Miniatures, Steamforged Games, Avatars of War… The list (and product range) continues to grow on an almost daily basis.
Not content with just stocking, selling and playing games, we also run regular tournaments for a multitude of systems in store, where we have 10 gaming tables available for use on a daily basis (with extra tables being bought in for some tournaments when required), as well as our painting station and knowledgeable, friendly staff being on hand to help you out with any of your hobby needs. On top of all that, we also currently run gaming nights on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, where the store stays open potentially until 11pm (Depending on evening), details of which can be found here.
To stay up to date with what we are up to, we can be found on Facebook by searching for Black Dragon Miniatures, give our page a like and be kept informed about what’s going on in store or use the Contact link above to drop us a message. If you would like to join our gaming mailing list click here.
Owned by local entrepreneur and ex GW staff member Garry Sharp, who brings a wealth of gaming knowledge from a huge range of gaming systems, he is joined by David Cook who is a talented painter and hobbyist and again a former GW staff member who enjoys WH40K and AoS, and lastly Adam Boam, who is a keen enthusiast of a number of historical eras along with having a soft spot for small skirmish games such as Frostgrave, Legends of the Old West, Mordheim and Kill Team.
We aim to provide excellent customer service and live stock levels in order to aid your experience.
A gaming store with a difference, loads of space, light and fresh with helpful but not pushy staff. Our gaming tables are very high quality and heavily in demand, please ensure you contact us to reserve one (especially over weekends and our Thursday gaming nights). Please be aware we do have a small table fee per player (£3) but that has no time limit in place, so if you want to turn up when we open, and play until we close, that's all good with us.
